第73屆聯(lián)合國大會防治結核病問題高級別會議26日在紐約舉行。

中國國家主席習近平夫人、世界衛(wèi)生組織結核病和艾滋病防治親善大使彭麗媛應邀作為抗擊結核病杰出人士代表在會議開幕式上發(fā)表視頻講話。

彭麗媛和現(xiàn)場參會者分享了擔任世界衛(wèi)生組織結核病和艾滋病防治親善大使和中國結核病防治形象大使十多年來的經(jīng)歷和感受，介紹了中國結核病防治工作人員和義務宣傳員們扎根基層、默默無聞、無私奉獻的感人事跡。

Dear friends, I am Peng Liyuan, the WHO Goodwill Ambassador for TB and HIV/AIDS. Congratulations on this High-Level Meeting, and greetings to you all!

親愛的朋友們，我是世界衛(wèi)生組織結核病和艾滋病防治親善大使彭麗媛。祝賀本次高級別會議的召開，并向大家問好。

I became China’s Ambassador for TB in 2007, and the Goodwill Ambassador in 2011. It is a mission and responsibility I cherish dearly. For more than ten years, every year on March 24th, I’ve visited communities with high TB prevalence to help raise awareness, change behavior and encourage actions.

我在2007年成為中國結核病防治形象大使，在2011年成為親善大使。這是我珍視的使命和責任。十多年來，每年的3月24日，我都會走訪結核病高發(fā)的社區(qū)，以提高人們的認識，改變行為，鼓勵人們采取行動。

This year, I went to Hubei in central China. I shared with teenage students important TB-related knowledge, and ways to lead a healthy lifestyle and taught young children the importance of good personal hygiene. In a local village, I met a fully-recovered patient. I encouraged him to become a TB campaigner himself, so that he can share his experience of fighting the disease with more people.
