加藤靖志畢業(yè)于京都大學(xué)文學(xué)系，隨后進(jìn)入共同社工作。曾任共同社經(jīng)濟(jì)部、外信部記者，之后在中國(guó)總局（北京）任職8 年半，其間先后擔(dān)任記者、總局長(zhǎng)。2012 年起在共同社總部國(guó)際局工作。在名古屋大學(xué)向研究生講授《對(duì)外傳播》課程。

共同社（Kyodo News）是日本最大的國(guó)際性通訊社，成立于1945 年，是由日本各報(bào)社、NHK 等56 家媒體加盟的社團(tuán)法人。共同社獨(dú)立于政府，向加盟機(jī)構(gòu)及上百家簽約民間電視臺(tái)等提供日本國(guó)內(nèi)和世界各地的新聞與照片。在日本國(guó)內(nèi)擁有52 個(gè)支社與支局，海外支局達(dá)42 個(gè)，職員總數(shù)約達(dá)1600 人。目前使用英、中、韓三種語(yǔ)言面向國(guó)外發(fā)布新聞。

Mr. Kato Yasushi graduated from the Literature Department of Kyoto University and then hestartedto work in Kyodo News. He worked as a reporter for the Economy Department and the Foreign NewsDepartment of Kyodo News, then in the China Head Office (Beijing) for 8 years, serving as a reporter andthe chief of the head office. From 2012, he worked in the International Bureau of the Head Office of KyodoNews. He also teaches postgraduates the course of Foreign Communication at Nagoya University.  

Kyodo News is the largest international news agency in Japan. It was founded in 1945. It is a corporationaggregation involving 56 Japanese media franchisees, including all the Japanese newspaper officesand NHK. Kyodo News is independent of the government. It provides domestic and foreign news andphotographs to its franchisees and over 100 private television stations who have signed agreements withKyodo News, etc. It has 52 branches and sub-bureaus in Japan and 42 sub-bureaus overseas. It has1,600 employees in total. At present, it publishes news overseas in three languages: English, Chinese andKorean.
